Kew Reach delivers science-led nature-based solutions to restore ecosystems, create urban habitats, and build climate resilience - for corporates, developers, landowners, and institutions in the UK and internationally. Our work is guided by the Kew Method, a unique framework developed by scientists at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and underpinned by the expertise of over 500 Kew scientists and the Millennium Seed Bank.
Ecologist (Contract)
We are building a flexible network of Ecologists to support project work on a contract basis, alongside existing roles.
We welcome ecologists across relevant specialisms, including general, restoration and habitat & plant ecology with specialisms across areas such as biodiversity metric and BNG work, ecological restoration, and urban greening. Work may include biodiversity baselines and DEFRA Metric assessments, UKHab habitat surveys, ecological monitoring and evaluation, nature-based solutions for climate resilience, and contributing to landscape restoration or urban habitat creation projects.
Applicants must hold professional accreditation, either CIEEM membership (including Chartered Ecologist or Chartered Environmentalist status) or equivalent.
